Handcrafted resin river tables, live-edge furniture and one-of-a-kind statement pieces, individually designed to transform homes, offices and commercial spaces. Built in Melbourne. Made to be admired for generations.
This one-of-a-kind coffee table is crafted from stunning live-edge cedar, showcasing its distinctive white sapwood and rich red heartwood. The slabs are set into a crystal-clear river, carrying only the slightest whisper of cool blue — letting the natural beauty of the timber shine through.
From the outer edges, an electric lightning design surges inward, almost touching at the center, its vivid blue streaks demanding attention and creating a bold, dramatic statement.
And when the lights go down, the hidden feature comes alive — the lightning glows with an otherworldly intensity, transforming the table into a luminous centerpiece that shifts from natural elegance by day to pure spectacle by night.
This is not just furniture — it’s a commanding statement piece, fusing the raw soul of cedar with the energy of living lightning.
Introducing our revolutionary new design: Tasmanian Blackwood meets Gold Leaf Live Edge with a stunning Gloss Black River design! Elevate your space with this fusion of natural beauty and luxury. Be the first to own a piece that disrupts traditional design norms.

Where play meets artistry, the Art of Chess bar table transforms the timeless game into a sculptural centrepiece. Rising from a sleek, slim black stem, the board blossoms into an organic top—its flowing form reminiscent of petals unfurling, like a striking flower in full expression.
Crafted from Western Red Burl, the surface reveals deep, rich red tones, brought to life by a shimmering green inlay that catches the light with subtle brilliance. A distinctive gold border frames the board, giving it a bold, elevated presence.
This isn’t just furniture—it’s a statement. Visually striking from every angle, it has the power to instantly lift the atmosphere of any bar, lounge, or man cave. It draws people in, sparks conversation, and becomes the natural focal point of the room.
Designed for both function and connection, it invites you to play your way. Stand tall and take command of the board like a seasoned master, facing down opponents with confidence—or pull up a bar stool, pour a drink, and settle into a slower, more thoughtful game. It’s made for those long, memorable matches shared with an old friend, a father, or anyone who appreciates the rhythm of the game.
And it doesn’t have to stop at tradition. With space for gathering, it easily becomes the centre of a social night—perfect for creating your own chess-inspired drinking games for four or more, where strategy meets laughter and every move carries a twist.
Complete the experience with custom resin chess pieces to create a set that is truly one-of-a-kind—bold, expressive, and unforgettable.

Let's Build Something One-of-One
If you're after custom timber furniture that simply cannot be replicated, Outta Timber is built for you.
I handcraft every piece myself, right here in Melbourne, from solid Australian hardwood. No two pieces leave the workshop the same — because no two pieces are ever built the same way twice. Whether it's a statement resin river table, a striking wall arch, or a bespoke design pulled straight from your imagination, I bring the same obsessive attention to detail to every commission.
My background isn't your typical furniture-maker's path. I started programming CNC machines the hard way — via DOS, punching in X, Y, and Z coordinates by hand — long before moving on to modern CAD/CAM software. That grounding in the fundamentals means I understand timber and machinery at a level most operators don't, which is why I've been able to take on work that experienced CNC professionals have called ahead of its time. I've applied that same precision to million-dollar builds, including community hubs, university projects, and one of the largest timber structures in the Southern Hemisphere.
That same care — the kind that goes into testing joinery methods for 48 hours to make sure a glue-up will truly hold — is what goes into every table, arch, and custom creation that leaves my workshop.
Handcrafted in Melbourne.
Built from Australian hardwood.
Made to last for generations.
“Dustin was superb: his ability to grasp quickly what I wanted and at a price that made it affordable, delivered a brilliant result. Two timber arches of different lengths but needing to sit adjacent to each other, made in an amazing turnaround time of two weeks. He even followed up weeks later to ensure all was still fine. Work protocols of both a gentleman and professional - don’t hesitate: just ask Dustin at Outta Timber. He loves a challenge!”
“Dustin from Outta Timber is incredibly skilled with both wood and resin, and he can bring any design idea to life. He recently built a resin dining table for us, and the craftsmanship is next‑level.”
“We recently had Dustin from Outta Timber complete major structural work on our carport in Ringwood East, and we could not be happier with the result.”

Digitally created visual representing a concept based on real-world possibilities
AK-47 Coffee Table
My background in CNC machining began years ago, programming machines using DOS-based systems, where every toolpath was written as X, Y, and Z coordinates, and every point was manually entered. A program could take a day to complete, and every movement had to be carefully planned and written with precision, since there was no way to preview what would happen. As CNC technology evolved, I progressed into modern CAD/CAM programming and advanced machining techniques, building on those early foundations while continually expanding my skills.
Wanting to challenge myself beyond conventional machining, I started creating custom stands and display cut-outs before pushing further into 3D CNC carving. Each project became an opportunity to apply everything I had learned over the years, combining technical machining knowledge with creativity and craftsmanship.
The AK-47 Coffee Table was one of those challenges. Knowing that timber and resin makers often incorporate spent ammunition into their work, I wanted to take the concept much further by carving a fully detailed semi-automatic rifle directly into the tabletop itself. Inspired by years of playing first-person shooter games and fascinated by the iconic design of the AK-47, I used this project to showcase what could be achieved through CNC carving, rather than simply assembling decorative elements.
Finding the right timber was just as important as the design. I selected Camphor Laurel for its striking grain, natural character, and warmth, allowing the carving to stand out while complementing the resin. Spent bullet casings were carefully embedded within the piece to add realism and reinforce the theme without overshadowing the beauty of the timber.
This project represents more than a coffee table. It showcases decades of CNC programming experience—from early DOS-based machines through to modern CNC machining and 3D carving—combined with a passion for transforming timber into detailed, one-of-a-kind functional art.
